Transforming Lives: Stories of Clients

EngenderHealth, through Fistula Care and the ACQUIRE Project, has supported more than 25,000 fistula repair surgeries and trained more than 30,000 health workers in 14 countries. While these figures demonstrate the success of Fistula Care’s data-driven programmatic and management approaches, the stories behind these numbers celebrate the lives that have been transformed by the work of our partners and the individuals who have made these transformations possible.

Stories from the Field tell just a handful of the thousands of stories of women whose lives were transformed by the individuals and institutions supported by Fistula Care. Each woman’s experience is unique, but at the heart of each story there is the empowerment that access to fistula repair has brought through restored dignity and respect.
